Imagine a mother who is presented with a son physically impaired, bearing the traces still fresh and stained with blood barely coagulated, of brutal torture session, at the hands of agents of the Ali bongo’s regime.

Imagine a mother discovering that her son was tied up, hooded and beaten like an animal.

Imagine what this lady is going through, her concern for her son, her concern for the arbitrariness of the Gabonese justice system, the surreal conditions of the Gabonese penal system; and ask yourself, what is all of this for? What crime has her son committed to be subjected to this treatment?

Imagine those people who have imprisoned her son; do they consider themselves human? Do they have any sense of decency? Do they think that they would live and rule eternally?

In mature societies, torture is banned. Gabon has signed all international conventions related to the banishment of torture. Why is this lady’s son still being torture by Ali Bongo’s agents?

We will not give up.

Imaginez une mère à qui on présente un fils physiquement diminué, portant les séquelles encore toutes fraiches et maculées de sang à peine coagulé, de séance de tortures brutales, aux mains d’agents du régime Ali bongo.

Imaginez une mère, découvrant que son fils a été ligoté, cagoulé et battu comme un animal.

Imaginez ce que traverse cette dame, ses soucis pour son fils, ses soucis de l'arbitraire de la justice gabonaise, ses soucis des conditions surréalistes du système pénal gabonais; et demandez-vous, à quoi sert tout cela? Quel crime son fils a-t-il commis pour être soumis à ce traitement?

Imaginez les gens qui ont emprisonné son fils; se considèrent-ils comme des humains? Ont-ils un sens de la décence? Pensent-ils qu'ils vivront et régneront éternellement?

Dans les sociétés matures, la torture est interdite. Le Gabon a signé toutes les conventions internationales relatives à l'interdiction de la torture. Pourquoi le fils de cette dame est-il toujours torturé par les agents d'Ali Bongo?
