ANOTHER ODIOUS RITUAL CRIME OF A LITTLE GIRL IN GABON. UN AUTRE ODIEUX CRIME RITUEL SUR UNE FILLETTE AU GABON

Image
Picture of the victim Photo de la victime (Photo Moulenda) English version It is with dismay that this blog has learned that, once again, a little girl had been murdered in Gabon, for the removal of her organs. It is the intrepid Jonas Moulenda, who despite threats and the loss of his job at the government newspaper L’Union, continues to firmly hold the bar of truth by informing us of all these crimes that the regime would prefer to hide and downplay. We have a serious problem in Gabon, a country where excellence and rational thoughts have buggered off to make room for imposture, sects and lodges of all kinds and consumption of human blood as a passport to wealth, power and glory. Below is Jonas Moulenda’s text. By clicking here you would go to the blog that revealed the story to us. REPORT ON HUMAN RIGHTS IN GABON. RAPPORT SUR LES DROITS DE L’HOMME AU GABON

English Version Barrister Paulette Oyane-Ondo, well-known lawyer, member of the civil society and President of CENTRE FOR THE PROMOTION OF DEMOCRACY AND THE PROTECTION OF HUMAN RIGHTS IN GABON (CDDH-Gabon), has with her team just published a titanic report on the situation of human rights in Gabon. Who said that there are only hedonists in Gabon? While some are interested in carnivals and football matches of prestige and no value; others are working to turn back the darkness. Happy reading, it is long but please go through its entirety!

PIERRE ENGLEBERT PROPOSES SOME INTERESTING SOLUTIONS TO AFRICAN PROBLEMS. PIERRE ENGLEBERT PROPOSE D'INTERESSANTES SOLUTIONS AUX PROBLÈMES DE L'AFRIQUE

Image
English version Pierre Englebert is a professor of at Pomona College in California in the USA and is the author of a very provocative book entitled “Africa: Unity, Sovereignty and Sorrow.” In that book, Englebert gives his opinion about the state of Africa and how this situation could be remedied? This blog read that book and found its content so pertinent that we recommend it to our readers. In this post, we would like to give you a synopsis of Englebert's thesis. Basically, Englebert argues that of the 17 African nations that have recently commemorating their 50th anniversaries of independence-which includes Gabon- few have anything to truly celebrate. He says that 50 years ago, African independence was worth rejoicing over; yet because the gift of sovereignty was granted from outside rather than earned from within these countries, these independence came without the benefit of popular accountability, or even a social contract between rulers and citizens.

UNICEF STATISTICS ABOUT GABON; THE REGIME WILL NOT LIKE THEM. LES STATISTIQUES DU GABON D’APRÈS L’UNICEF ; LE POUVOIR NE VA PAS APPRÉCIER

Image
English version UNICEF is one of the specialized UN agencies whose primary role is to care for children by focusing on improving their health, nutrition, education and hygiene. UNICEF collects statistics across the world; country by country and they are compiled and published annually. We sought to assess the evolution of things in Gabon since the arrival of Ali Bongo to power and UNICEF numbers seemed reliable and non-controversial. We have reviewed the figures and here are the results (all these figures were obtained from the Unicef website). Under-five mortality rate : Probability of dying between birth and exactly five years of age expressed per 1,000 live births. In 2009: 69 deaths per 1,000 live births, meaning 6.9% In 2012: 66 deaths per 1,000 live births, meaning 6.6% Since Ali Bongo has come to power this number has not changed because there is no statistical differences between 69 and 66 of 1,000. Infant mortality rate : Probability of dyin

THE SAME WHO COMPLAIN THAT THE GABONESE CITIZEN ARE DEFENDING THEIR SOVEREIGNTY, HAVE NEVER CRITIZED THEIR FRENCH FRIENDS IN GABON FOR VOTING FOR THE RIGHT WING. LES MÊMES QUI REPROCHENT AUX GABONAIS DE DÉFENDRE LEUR SOUVERAINETÉ, N’ONT JAMAIS REPROCHÉ À LEURS AMIS FRANÇAIS DU GABON DE VOTER POUR LA DROITE

English version Dear readers, if you want to measure the hypocrisy of those who are trying to get on their high horse and accuse courageous Gabonese citizens determined to preserve what little sovereignty they have left, it is sufficient to look at voter attitudes of the French in Gabon. Looking closely at the attitude of these people over Gabonese citizens and their electoral preferences. Take the case of Christian Kerangall, the CEO of Compagnie du Komo we are told is perfectly integrated into the social fabric of the country to the point that he would make a perfect Mayor of Libreville. We are willing to accept that, but if we look closely, what do we see? 1. What the Compagnie du Como (CDK)? It is auto dealers: Sodim TP, Toyota Gabon, GESPARC. It is a seller of public works equipment: Sodim TP. It is a seller of office equipment: Electra. It is refrigeration services: Sogafric. It is banking: BGFI. It is investments in the SEEG, Finatra, mining, stock exch

THE CONSTITUTIONAL MESS IN GABON. LE DÉSORDRE CONSTITUTIONNEL AU GABON

Image
Image: Gabonlibre English version In a country like Gabon where it has been a habit for almost 50 years to change the constitution all the time, people almost forget what a constitution is for a country, a nation, a republic. How does the dictionary define what a constitution is? It is the fundamental law, specifically all the fundamental laws which govern a country, the organization and relations between the government and the population and determine the principles that govern the relationship between rulers and ruled. Any law, to be valid, must be judged in accordance with the Constitution. Permanent control of the constitutionality of laws is performed by the Constitutional Council. The Constitution is therefore the cornerstone of the legal system of a country. When this is understood, it can be inferred that to change in any point this constitution shall be subject to the scrutiny of experts, that is to say lawyers, constitutional authorities. Any cha

AND WHEN WOULD THE CHANGE MENTALITY ASKING THAT A SINGLE FAMILY NO LONGER STAYS IN POWER FOR 50 YEARS OCCUR? ET LE CHANGEMENT DE MENTALITÉ VOULANT QU’UNE MÊME FAMILLE NE RESTE AU POUVOIR PENDANT 50 ANS, C’EST POUR QUAND?

Sylvia Bongo (photo: Le Gri-gri International) English version In an interview published in the Gabonese government daily L'Union, Sylvia Bongo, the wife without formal government assignment of Ali Bongo, gave her views on Gabon and her actions in what she sees as efforts to improve the lot of the Gabonese people. In this interview the content of which was altogether predictable, there is a sentence that caught our attention; it is the following: "We must, however, never tire to educate, challenge, remind, to stand up for what is right and good for society" When we read such things from Sylvia Bongo, it is reasonable to ask whether in Gabon things are not turned on their head! How can there be such hypocrisy as to believe that the problem in Gabon is that the people refuse to go in the direction of justice and equality as advocated by Sylvia Bongo, her family and relatives? How can a member of the Bongo family come, shamelessly, asking the Gabo

THE PERTINENT QUESTIONS OF MR. PAUL MARIE GONDJOUT! LES PERTINENTES INTERROGATIONS DE M. PAUL MARIE GONDJOUT

Image
Paul Marie Gondjout (image: Jocktane) English version It is through a press conference a few days ago in Libreville, that citizen Paul Marie Gondjout, as allowed by his citizens' rights, wanted to communicate his opinions and questions about the insistent desire by the regime to have Gabon led by individuals of foreign origins. We will not publish here the integrality of that press conference because that has been done elsewhere, but we will address the salient questions that seem most central to the debate. In his speech, Mr. Gondjout said : "We never got our independence so that others in our place would come manage our country for us. Imagine that after you have started a family with his wife and children, and built your home, someone from somewhere else comes to manage your house, your wife and children. What a supreme humiliation! " Comment by “Annoying Gabon ": no Gabonese person of good faith would deny that the regime is trying to
